The hit drama series of HBO is all set to come up with the prequel named “House of the Dragons.” The prequel focuses on the history and origination of the Targaryen house. It will capture the events that occurred many years before the original series. The audience is eagerly waiting to binge-watch this drama full of dragons and mad kings.

The trailer for House of Dragons was released on October 5, 2021. This teaser brought us the first look at this Targaryen family-based series. This teaser includes a voice-over from Matt Smith’s Prince Daemon Targaryen. He says- “Dreams didn’t make us kings — dragons did.” We can also have a quick look at the Iron throne in this teaser.

The cast of House of Dragons – Game of Thrones Prequel

HBO has also confirmed the new cast of this series. According to sources, the cast includes- Theo Nate as Ser Laenor Velaryon, John Macmillan as Ser Laenor Velaryon, Wil Johnson as Ser Vaemond Velaryon Savannah Steyn as Lady Laena Velayron.

How can you Watch House of Dragons?

The prequel, House of Dragons will be available on HBO in 2022. The first season of this series will include 10 episodes. The series is inspired by Martin Targaryen’s historical book- Fire and Blood.

Plot of House of Dragons – Game of Thrones Prequel

The show focuses on the events of Westeros history commonly known as the Dance of dragons. It is a war that occurred among the brothers Aegon II and Rhaenyra over the throne of the king. This war took place after the death of their father Viserys I. The starks and Lannister join either side during the war.

One of the planned game of thrones spin-offs, 9 voyages also named Sea snake is being worked on by Rome and Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller. This spin-off will focus on the Lord Corlys Velaryon, the Sea Snake, Lord of the Tides, and head of House Velaryon.

Kit Harrington

GOT also introduced Kit to his wife, Rose Leslie. She played Jon snow’s love interest Ygritte. Kit and Rose married in Scotland in 2018. And they welcomed their first child,a son in 2021. Next Kit will venture into the marvel cinematic universe. He’ll costar with Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek in 2021’s Eternals.

Sophie Turner

Sophie played Sansa Stark who eventually became the Queen in the north. GOT marked her acting debut and she’s been successful ever since. She received her first Emmy nomination for playing Sansa. In 2019, Sophie was up for Outstanding supporting actress (drama). She joined the Xmen franchise. She first played Jean Grey in 2016’s “X-Men Apocalypse”. Then Sophie earned her spin with 2019’s “Dark Pheonix”. The actress married singer, Joe Jonas. And they had their daughter Willa in 2020. Sophie will soon voice princess Charlotte in an HBO animated sitcom. The price parodies the British royal family.

Maisie Williams

Maisie starred the feisty and headstrong Arya Stark. In 2019, Maisie received her first-ever Emmy nominations for GOT. She was nominated for Outstanding supporting actress. Maisie has officially moved to her next television role. She has been cast in Pistol an upcoming FX series. Maisie will portray punk icon, Pamela Rooke. She’s become quite the entrepreneur too. She created a social media app, Daisie. Daisie seeks to connect and develop the career of rising creatives.

Peter Dinklage

He played the role of Tyrion Lannister. Peter Dinklage is the only GOT star to win an Emmy award. He won the award for an Outstanding supporting role in a Drama series in 2011 and 2015. Peter Dinklage is the only GOT actor to be nominated in each season. He was also seen in Avengers- Infinity War.
