The famous singer and songwriter- Ed Sheeran recently declared that he has been testing COVID positive. Ed Sheeran took to his Instagram account to reveal this by saying-“Hey guys. Quick note to tell you that I’ve sadly tested positive for COVID, so I’m now self-isolating and following government guidelines”. The singer will be giving all his scheduled interviews from home.
“..It means that I’m now unable to plough ahead with any in-person commitments for now, so I’ll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances from my house. Apologies to anyone I’ve let down. Be safe everyone,” Ed Sheeran added.
The news of Ed Sheeran infecting from COVID comes up just one week before the release of his new album “=”.
Over the summer Ed Sheeran was seen with James Corden for a sketch related to COVID. The two shared the lyrics of Ed Sheeran’s famous song Shape of You to promote the COVID-19 vaccine. Other celebrities like the “Dancing with the stars” Partners Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby also took a break after they were infected by Coronavirus.

Fans are really excited about Ed Sheeran’s new album “=”(equals) which is to be released on Friday. Ed Sheeran was also expected to join Apple Music’s Zane Lowe to play some songs from his new album and answer some questions from his fans.
The tracklist of the new album “=”(equals) is as follows:

The first official single named “Bad Habits” from the album =(equals) was released on June 25. The two singles from this project include production from Johnny McDaid.
Ed Sheeran wrote the single “Visiting Hours” about the demise of his close friend and mentor Michael Gudinski. He performed this song at Gudinski’s memorial service.
